What is a Muscle imbalance?
Physical imbalance refers to the condition where the body’s structure is unbalanced, posture is incorrect, and behaviors or activities are performed improperly. The body can be compared to a pillar that can stand upright, supported by muscles. However, if those muscles become tight or weak due to unbalanced use, the pillar loses its balance. The reasons for losing physical balance often stem from neglected daily habits, such as sitting with crossed legs, slouching, hunching the back, standing with a protruding stomach, wearing high heels over 1.5 inches for prolonged periods, or carrying a heavy bag on one side. These behaviors can cause abnormalities in the body, as shown in the illustration.

Therefore, to maintain the body’s balance, posture adjustment should be performed using the following methods:
• Physical examination: Assessing the balance of the body’s structure.
• Treatment: Realigning and adjusting the spine using spinal traction techniques.
• Rehabilitation: Restoring muscle function balance, such as electrical muscle stimulation.
• Prevention: Specific exercises to accelerate muscle growth and increase muscle strength.
