What is a migraine?

Migraine is a type of chronic headache that interferes with daily life. It is characterized by a throbbing headache, usually on one side but can also affect both sides. Migraines are more commonly found in women than men, often occurring in individuals with high emotional and psychological stress. In addition to disrupting daily life, migraines can also lead to long-term health issues.

Observe migraine headache symptoms.

Headache on one side of the head, throbbing pain that comes and goes or occurs in a pattern. In most cases, the pain is moderate to severe. Some may also experience additional symptoms such as nausea or vomiting.

May have symptoms before headache, such as seeing flashes of light, shimmering lights, or blurred vision. These symptoms usually occur about 10–30 minutes before the headache begins.

Behaviors that contribute to migraines.

- Insufficient sleep.
- Stress.
- Skipping meals or eating irregularly.
- Eating certain types of food excessively.
- Drinking too much caffeine.
- Being in bright light.
- Sensitivity to smells.
